Arya: Fifteen Pieces That Refuse to Shout
Most collections are large because a shop has a lot of stock.
Arya is fifteen pieces. It is fifteen on purpose.
It is also the first edit here that dresses both halves of a family for the same week — sarees under Rangoli, menswear under RANJH.
The sarees
It runs across weaving traditions rather than within one, which is unusual, and is the entire point.
- Gadwal silk Katan — the Telangana weave where a lighter body meets a heavy silk border, locked together by the kupadam join.
- Gold Kanchipuram in tissue — the South silk, done light. A genuinely modern proposition and the piece most people underestimate.
- Crepe khaddi Banarasi — khaddi georgette's fall, with real Banarasi weaving on it. The one you can wear for eight hours.
- Banarasi on three bases — silk Katan, tissue and chiffon, one with a scalloped border. Put them side by side and you learn more about what a base does to a saree than any article can tell you.
- Off-white ikkat with a red border — the most Puja-appropriate piece in the set, without once being obvious about it.
- Net with designer embroidery — for the reception end of the week, not the morning.
And the menswear
Same brief, other half of the house:
- A wine Tussar silk sherwani and a white raw silk one. The two big evenings, handled.
- A beige silk Katan indo-western set — for when a sherwani is too much and a kurta is not enough. Which is most occasions.
- A grey silk Katan Nehru jacket. The single most useful thing a man can own this season: it turns a plain kurta he already owns into a finished outfit, and then does it again tomorrow over a different one.
- Tussar silk and cotton kurta sets — Shashthi morning, and a day of walking.
Why these fifteen, together
They share a restraint.
Every piece here is a serious weave doing something quieter than that weave usually does. A Kanchipuram in tissue instead of heavy silk. A Banarasi on crepe instead of Katan. An ikkat in off-white instead of full saturation.
What you get is a set you can wear to a Puja evening and again to a February wedding, without either occasion feeling like a compromise. That is harder to build than a big collection, and it is the only reason to bother making a small one.
Roughly Rs. 2,200 to Rs. 67,300 — a wide range for fifteen pieces, and it reflects how differently these things are made rather than how they are priced against each other. A cotton kurta set and a fully embroidered tissue saree are not the same kind of object.

If Arya is not your budget or your weight
The same territory, more broadly: Banarasi sarees, Kanjivaram, ikkat and patola, tissue silks. Menswear: sherwanis and indo-westerns, kurta pajama sets.
And for the week as a whole, the six-day plan.
